ICC Unveils 2017 Best Companies to Work for in Colorado Winners at Colorado’s Party of the Year

November 20, 2017, Denver, CO – Innovate, ICC Innovate. Coach. Consult.

After many months of anticipation and very fierce competition, ICC – Innovate. Coach. Consult. unveiled the 2017 Best Companies to Work for in Colorado winners at Colorado’s party of the year. The greatest companies live and die by their people, and although hundreds of companies began the process of becoming the best of the best, there were only three winners named in the following categories based on company size – small, medium and large.

“While the Best Companies to Work for in Colorado program has been running for several years, a few months ago ICC joined forces with ColoradoBiz Magazine to shake up the awards scene with a deeper focus in mind: culture. While ping pong tables and beer kegs might be a component of this conversation, ICC wanted to get to the nitty gritty” said Shawna Simcik, ICC’s President of Business Leadership.

Despite the unique differences attributed to each company, every finalist and winner had the following in common:

  1. They listen to the marketplace and adapt when necessary for their customers
  2. They know where they are going and are clear about their mission and vision
  3. They leverage their consistency and have processes and structure that create leverage
  4. Their people are aligned, empowered, engaged, and clear about what to do, why to do it and how to do it

After calculating culture scores, response rates by employees, and each of the nine finalists submitted videos on why they should be named a best company, the public voted and the number of nine finalists was narrowed down to the list of three winners. Awards were presented to the following winners:

  1. Small Company: Adperio, Inc
  2. Medium Company: Anton Collins Mitchell, LLP
  3. Large Company: GeoStabilization International

“It was refreshing to see all of the leaders accepting the awards so proud of their people, and their employees so proud of their leaders. Nothing say’s ‘strong and healthy company culture’ like a team who values each role within a company, and attributes its successes to each and every employee” added an attendee of the awards event.

ICC also presented “excellence awards” to three outstanding companies for their dedication to creating change, team orientation, and customer focus respectively: Go Alpine, Crestone Capital and National Corporate Housing.

ICC would also like to thank the following gracious sponsors for their support in making the 2017 Best Companies to Work for in Colorado awards program possible: USI Insurance, and College Invest.
