DEVELOPMENT FOR EMERGING LEADERS

ICC has been the chosen development and outplacement partner for the largest manufacturer of food and household products, since 2015. In early 2020, the company launched their first Accelerator™ Development Program aimed at improving the performance of their front-line supervisors in over three US locations and participants included Plant Supervisors and Supervisors in the Corporate Office. ICC supported in the identification of a customizable combination of Accelerator™ courses all of which included, microlearning, group coaching, reinforcement activities, manager accountability and capstone presentations. Focused competencies were Conflict Competence, Emotional Intelligence, Principles of Leadership and Performance Management. Given the demands of a Plant Supervisor, it was exceptional to have activities that managers could integrate into their daily work lives rather than be off the production floor for more than a couple hours. Overall findings for the first cohort are substantial in that by using ICC’s learning methodology, both learning retention and leadership effectiveness grew by over 40% in 30 days and approximately 71% over a six-month period. In addition, three of the participants were promoted within the first six months. The program, as provided by ICC, is proving to be a valuable addition to the organization’s succession planning and development efforts, feeding highly prepared managers into the future leader’s pipeline for the organization.
